Freshman Kris Dunn didn’t disappoint in his much anticipated debut, compiling seven points and 13 assists, en route to a 79-45 Friar (8-2) victory over Colgate. With his 13 assists, Dunn tied a PC school record for assists by a Freshman. The Big East scoring leader,Bryce Cotton (20.8), led the Friars with a game-high 21 points. Freshman Josh Fortune was efficient from the field, scoring 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting. In his debut, sophomore Sidiki Johnson was also solid, pulling down eight rebounds and blocking three shots. LaDontae Henton posted another double-double, scoring 14 points and collecting 10 boards. With the win, the Friars sent a message to the rest of the Big East that they’re not to be messed with. The Friars will head to Boston College Saturday to take on the Eagles in another non-conference contest.
