Another winnable game goes by the board for the Friars. PC dropped an 83-73 decision to an aggressive DePaul (10-5, 1-1) team last night at home to fall to 0-2 in the Big East and 8-6 overall, losing four straight games. To add insult to injury, the ten point difference truly doesn’t indicate how bad the Friars played. Many of the Friars points came late in the game, when their shots were uncontested. Bryce Cotton led the Friars with 20 points, many of which coming in garbage time. Vincent Council chipped in with 16 points and six rebounds, while Kadeem Batts added 17 Points and six rebounds. Cleveland Melvin led the way for the Blue Demons, scoring 23 points and pulling down nine rebounds. The Friars will now host 7th ranked Syracuse on Wednesday, still looking for their first Big East win.
