The Friars (13-11, 5-7) will host 21st ranked Notre Dame (20-5, 8-4) on Saturday at 12pm at the Dunk. PC has been on fire, winning their last three Big East games against Villanova, Cincinnati, and USF. Junior guard Bryce Cotton is the only player in the conference averaging over 20 points, leading the league with 20.5 points per game. The Friars will look to snap Notre Dame’s two-game winning streak, with one of those games coming at home against Louisville in five overtimes. PC will also look to slow down the Irish’s Jack Cooley, who is the only player in the conference averaging a double-double, with 14.7 points per game and 11.2 rebounds per game. Kadeem Batts and LaDontae Henton will have to keep up their stellar play as of late if the Friars want to take down one of the conference’s best teams on their home floor. If the Friars continue to play the way that they’ve been playing on defense, then I think that they can frustrate the Notre Dame offense, allowing for some easy transition points.
