Henton Has First Hiccup For Friars in Offseason

LaDontae Henton became the first Friar to have a mishap this offseason, a trend that is becoming all too familiar with Friar fans. Henton and his ex-girlfriend were arrested this past week after having a violent argument in his dorm room. Henton allegedly threw her to the floor and smashed her cell phone. He is being charged with domestic simple assault and vandalism, while his ex-girlfriend allegedly smashed Henton’s television and is being charged with domestic vandalism.
Coach Ed Cooley declined to comment on the charges when asked Thursday.
This is what’s hoped to be the first and last offseason incident for the Friars, especially with this one coming from one of PC’s most valuable players. Henton averaged 13 points to go along with 8.3 rebounds per game and helped lead the Friars to the NIT Quarterfinals in the 2012-13 season.
